Pirate players practice on Wednesday night.

Good Morning Pirate Fans!! It's a Home Game Day for the HS Football Team! We asked a few of the players to talk about the season, and this is what they said.

*
Ray Vinson - "After taking off freshman year, I'm excited to not only be back, but also to make some memories and have a good time with the boys."
*
Dane DeVries – “My goals for the season are to improve on my blocking technique, snaps, and having soft hands to catch the ball constantly for offense. For defense my goals are to get low on tackling and also become better at reading plays. My last goals are to support everyone on the team in anyway I can and help my team get to that final game of state.”
*
Jonah Bertolino – “The season is looking really good and I'm excited to get to play, I think we could be really good this year. The most challenging thing for this football season is probably going to be wearing masks on the sidelines and dealing with all the guideline”
*
Ty Coleman – "I'm looking forward to what we can do as a team. We have been working hard to be prepared and I believe we have done that so far. There is always more work to be done though; however, I am happy with the potential we have.”
*
Jacob Maestas – “The virus has been a new piece of adversity this year. We've always dealt with adversity, maybe not on this level, but we will handle this the same way we always have: head-on and strong.”
*
Nathan Winkler – “You can't earn anything if you don’t work hard for it.”
*
*
The game against Manzanola will kick off at 6:00 pm @ Tezak Field - it is a WHITE OUT game (please wear your white)!
*
ALL ATTENDEES MUST WEAR MASKS AND SOCIAL DISTANCE.
