School Counselor Update - November 29, 2021

Please read the following letter from our new School Counselor, Keri Quick:

Cotopaxi Parents/Guardians and students,

I’d like to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Keri Quick and I’m excited to join the Cotopaxi Team as the K-12 School Counselor. I have been a school counselor for 8 years. I received my bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Forensic Psychology in 2010 and received my master’s degree in School Counseling in 2013. I live in Northeastern Colorado in a small rural community with my husband and three kids. I will be providing my services remotely, which I understand has its unique obstacles, but my goal is to make the experience feel as close to in-person as possible.

As a school counselor, I want to make sure that my “door” is always open for questions, concerns, and resources. Please, do not hesitate to reach out to me. I have created a calendar to make appointments with me where we will meet through Google Meet. My office hours will be from 9am-2pm, Monday-Thursday. Click here to access my appointment calendar - you will see slots available that you can click on to book an appointment with me. Always feel free to email me, as well.

I am in the process of creating a site to house all school counseling information you might need from me. I will continue to add to this site as I learn more about Cotopaxi and your unique needs. Currently my focus for the site is ICAP (Individual Career and Academic Plan), but I will continue to develop this site. As soon as it’s ready for viewing I will provide the link.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Keri Quick
