Vacant District B Director Cotopaxi Fremont RE-3 School District Fremont County, Colorado
The Cotopaxi School District in the County of Fremont, Colorado has a vacant seat on the Board of Education. To be qualified a candidate must have been a registered elector of the school district for at least 12 consecutive months before the election and a resident of the District B.
A person is ineligible to run for the school director if he/she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child. A person who desires to be a candidate for school director shall file an affidavit of qualifications and a letter of intent. The former document may be obtained at the Cotopaxi School Office. Please submit both documents to the superintendent prior to June 16th.
To check if you are a qualified candidate in District B, please contact the Cotopaxi School Office. A Master Chart is available in the school administration office for viewing by interested persons between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
District B is defined as:
Beginning at the point in the southeast corner of District A where Vallie Bridge intersects with the Arkansas River, thence along the flow of said river to the point of intersection with Hayden Creek Road, thence southwesterly up Hayden Creek Road to the intersection with the southern boundary line of the Fremont RE-3 District, thence west and north on the District boundary line to the SW corner of Director District A (West Creek), thence along West Creek to the Arkansas River, thence southeast along said river to the point of beginning.
