Vacant District A Director Cotopaxi Fremont RE-3 School District Fremont County, Colorado
The Cotopaxi School District in the County of Fremont, Colorado has a vacant seat on the Board of Education. To be qualified a candidate must have been a registered elector of the school district for at least 12 consecutive months before the election and a resident of the District A.
A person is ineligible to run for the school director if he/she has been convicted of committing a sexual offense against a child. A person who desires to be a candidate for school director shall file an affidavit of qualifications and a letter of intent. The former document may be obtained at the Cotopaxi School Office. Please submit both documents to the superintendent prior to July 19th.
To check if you are a qualified candidate in District A, please contact the Cotopaxi School Office. A Master Chart is available in the school administration office for viewing by interested persons between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
District A is defined as:
Beginning at the NE corner of S 35, located on the District west boundary line in T49N, RlOE, thence west to NW corner of S35, thence south to the SW comer of S35, thence west to NW corner of S3, T48N, Rl0E, thence south on the District west boundary line to intersection with West Creek, thence northeasterly along West Creek to intersection with the Arkansas River, thence southeasterly along the Arkansas River to intersection with Vallie Bridge, thence northeasterly to the southwest corner of Spruce Basin subdivision, thence north on the west boundary of Spruce Basin subdivision to the north boundary of S34 in T49N, Rl lE,
thence west to the northwest corner of S34, thence north to the NE corner of S9, thence west to the NW corner of S 12, thence south on the District west boundary to point of beginning.
