Our fifth-grade students are finishing up the adapted version of the Spanish epic novel, the "Adventures of Don Quixote." We have enjoyed learning about Don Quixote's and Sancho Panza's travels and interesting encounters as they took on the roles of knight and squire long after the time of the Middle Ages. We have also been working on writing our very first persuasive essay on whether Don Quixote's good intentions justified his actions. We are excited to take on this challenge of formal writing and cannot wait to showcase our final product.

Astronomy students present their scale solar system models to the 4th and 5th graders. Even using the football field we were only able to show the inner planets, Mercury through Mars. With the Sun about 3 feet in size, the planets were small beads. The high school kids fielded many questions from the 4th and 5th graders.
